Polyester Textured Yarn, which we often call Air Textured Yarn, was invented by DuPont in the United States.
Its characteristic is that the surface of the yarn is distributed with many loops of different shapes and sizes, which are similar to the fuzz of short-fiber yarn. This fabric features similar characteristics to natural fibers. The loops on the surface of the modified silk give the fabric a comfortable, fluffy and soft hand feel and an appearance similar to that of natural fibers.
Secondly, it has relatively high wear resistance. The loops of ATY enhance the fabric’s resistance to pilling and fuzzing. The anti-slip performance of the yarn has been enhanced and a matte effect has been achieved. It can be used for printing on products such as clothing, home textiles (curtains, sofas, tablecloths, umbrellas, shower curtains, bags), etc.
